The Staffordshire Regiments Battle Honour Glider Badge

A badge depicting a glider worked in light blue on a khaki horizontal oval was worn on the lower left arm of men trained in glider borne operatons during WWII.

Distinct from this badge is a yellow HORSA glder worked in yellow on a khaki rectangular background, which was worn from 1950 by The Border Regiment & The South Staffordshire Regiment as a form of battle honour for service during WWII

After the amalgamaton of The South Staffordshire Regiment with The North Staffordshire Regiment (The Prince of Wales's) in 1959, the badge continued in wear on the upper right arm by the new Staffordshire Regiment (THe Prince of Wales's), but now worn with a black edging - the facings colour of The North Staffs.
