o hAolain Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Hi. I am performing research on a GAA club in Dublin. They were founded in 1902 and unfortunately not much is known about the early days. The club is called "Kevins" and are located in the South Inner City area. Most of the members came from Synge Street School. I am trying to contact relatives/ descendants of former players and members in an attempt to piece together information and maybe obtain some photos or stories etc. I have obtained information on some of the members who took part in the Rising including the following names: Joseph Byrne (Sth Dub Union) C Co. 4th Bat Originally from Baltinglass had migrated to Dublin to serve his time in the carpentry trade when aged 14. Seamus Doyle (Bolands) 3rd Bat. Assigned to the Mount Street group Thomas Atkins (Bolands) C Co. 3rd Bat James Glynn (Sth Dub Union) B Co. 4th Bat James Maguire (Sth Dub Union) D Co. 4th Bat John Judge (Marrowbone Lane) A Co. 4th Bat R. Oman I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can assist me in contacting relatives of the above people.
