Lorne Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Gentlemen, I am trying to research Laurence (may be Lawrence) Cecil Carr who trained to be a pilot in WWI. He served in the machine gun corp at Archangel, Russia after WWI and his War Medal is stamped (192069 PTE L.C. CARR M.G.C.) From what I have learned so far, he is a very interesting fellow. I would greatly appreciate any information on him or his unit. Any information on how to navigate the War Museum Archives to find out this information would be greatly appreciated as well. I became hopelessly lost when I tried. Best regards, Lorne Bohn (Canada)
Dave Alexander Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 His records in National Archives show him as Laurence Cecil Carr 192069 Serjeant (as it was spelled then) Machine Gun Corps 1914 - 1920. His MIC Ref # is WO372/4 and you can download a copy for 2 GB pounds. Hope this helps.
