senreg Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Hello, Zillebeke Lake lays nearby where we live. We live on a farmhouse (called Manor Farm) that was rebuild after the war because in 1914-18 it was completely destroyed. It was mainly occupied by the British troop and only April 18 it was taken by the Germans. But that moment it was complety destroyed, there was even running a trench trough the building of the farm (Fosse trench). By forum, archives and search I have already some photos (mostly British and German aerials) of the Zillebeke Lake region. But I'm certain there are still in collections or photo books. I could about reconstruct the dimensions of the farm due to photos but the more we have the better we can reconstruct the plan. As not all know where the farm is situated, it is better to focus on Zillebeke Lake which is a easily point to find back on photos in the Ypres front. On photos of the Zillebeke Lake the farm is nearly always on it. Thanks in advance. Marc
