    -This issue here was the first to be struck in the royal mint of 5000, from Engalnd for the Coronation of king Faisal II in 1953. One of the medals in my collection the ribbon was removed and replace with a silver chain.

    Here is a Bronze king Faisal II Coronation medal manufactured by Huguenin, Le Loche, Switzerland. Missing Original ribbon;(

    You can see a gilt finish under the bronze finish, I seen a version of this medal in Gilt in Iraq 2005-2006. I believe now that the medal was sanded down to look like a First Class Gilt medal. The Iraqi Government Gazette does not list a First Class Gilt medal.

    I still never received the medal that was sent to me while I was in Iraq, it was a gift from a friend from an online medal store;(

    Was it issued in more than one class then?

    Silver and Bronze Issues known by the Iraqi Government Gazette, but I have seen a gilt version in Baghdad, Iraq in 2005-2006.

    If it were true it would look like this;

    -First Class Gilt

    -2nd Class Silver

    -3rd Class Bronze.

    But if not, then: Just like the (Nut al Rafidain)

    -Silver (3 versions if this medal)

    a. Silver 5000 Struck Royal Mint Issue manufactured in England

    b. Silver .0925 Manufactured by Huguenin, Le Loche, Switzerland.

    c. Bronze Silver medal Manufactured by Huguenin, Le Loche, Switzerland.

    -Bronze Manufactured Huguenin, Le Loche, Switzerland.
