Guest Dale @ Landry's Guns Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 I bought this rifle last summer from a guy walking the gunshow looking to get rig of a few rifles. I thought it was a #4 Mk1 at first and when I took a look at the receiver something struck me as odd. That was when I noticed the Mk6 on the receiver. After a little research I discovered it was an experimental or transitional rifle. It has been rebarreled with a Savage barrel, but the rest of the weapon looks un-altered. The date on the receiver - don't quote me on it - is 1936 and it has no import marks. Any idea what it is worth? I know the receiver is rare, but in it's condition - a good 90% or more - are collectors interested in this sort of weapon.ThanksDale
