Guest IMHF Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Here is what I learned on the front of the medal. On the left it says Childhood -50 On the Right says Home -99 Home of Children Lorenzo
Guest IMHF Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Here is more information I found about the medal: "Dar al-Tofoolah" or the "home of childhood" is an orphanage in Salhiyah in Baghdad for kids aged 1 day to 6 yrs. The Numbers (49-50) represent the school year of 1949-1950, the medal is given to gifted kids (top of class, special achievement) as an encouragement for further future excellence. Lorenzo
Guest IMHF Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 I just feel that the ribbon was replaced, does any one have an example of this medal complete. Thank you Lorenzo
