Not a model I'm familiar with but since it has a London maker tag, maybe someone can tell me more of what I have sitting in the closet. The US Army had something familiar late in the 1880s but unless it's an import, why would it come from London? Looks like it had ay one time a chin strap. Hopefully someone will identify it - meanwhile, you maybe able to locate the books on Tropical helmets by Peter Suciu (member) and Stuart Bates.
