8th Army Commemorative Medal

Hello,

Just thought I would share one of my favourite Commonwealth medals, the 8th Army "Commemorative Medal of Entrance of British Army in Italy, 10 July 1943" medal. I found this at a flea market and instantly loved it as I enjoy the story of the 8th Army with its Canadian soldiers. I love the picture of Mt. Vesuvius in the background. Is this an official medal or is it just a regimental (or in this case, army) medal and how rare is it to find?
