Dear Gentlemen,

 

On July 1, 1958, the Compagnie des gardes-cercle became the Djibouti Territorial Guard, supervised by the National Gendarmerie.
On July 1, 1968, the management was entrusted to the national police.
Its territorial jurisdiction is extended to the whole territory with the mission of controlling caravans, the city police, and guarding the prison.
