Dear Gentlemen,

 

The DGPE  "Deployment Support-Group for Counter Piracy Enforcement" is an integrated unit of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the Ground Self-Defense Force, operating out of Djibouti International Airport. About 30 people from the Maritime Self-Defense Force and about 80 people from the Ground Self-Defense Force, equipped with light armored vehicles, are in charge of base operations and security.
