While this badge is often identified as a military one on auction sites, it is not.

"The  Agricultural Youth Union 4T was officially established on November 25 in 1955 in rural areas of the Republic of Vietnam, in order to educate youths to cultivate their bodies and minds through beneficial work for their villages. This movement originated in Long An, Dinh Tuong, Binh Duong provinces and quickly spread throughout the South. Disbanded in 1970."
