En juillet 2011 le CAIDD fusionne avec le Centre d'Entraînement au Combat d'Arta Plage (CECAP) suite au départ de la 13e DBLE pour devenir le Centre d'Entraînement au Combat et d’Aguerrissement de Djibouti (CECAD). Creation on July 1, 1998 under the leadership of Colonel Clément Bollée of the Ougoul Desert Training Center (CIDO). In 1998 it became the Djibouti Desert Hardening and Instruction Center (CAIDD).
