No one Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Dear Gentlemen, The "Tamgha-e-Azm / Military Service Medal": Tamgha-e-Azm - Wikipedia / تمغہ عزم - آزاد دائرۃ المعارف، ویکیپیڈیا (wikipedia.org) Yours sincerely, No one
TracA Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Fascinating medal. I wish that the Wiki page had an explanation of the obverse design, especially the meaning of the fist. Tracy
No one Posted April 16 Author Posted April 16 (edited) Dear TracA, It's also called "Medal of Commitment" or "Medal of Determination". It's "advertised" as "War Against Terrorism (Terror) Medal". So the fist is perhaps to show determination or for crushing or smashing terrorism? Maybe Hashim.A.Khan could shade some light? Yours sincerely, No one Edited April 16 by No one
TracA Posted April 17 Posted April 17 No One, Ahh, that would make sense. I hope that he weighs in. Tracy
