Is the South African Railway Police Cross for Valour on the correct ribbon? According to Stanley Monick's book on Awards of the South African Uniformed Public Services 1922-1987, it ought to be plain old gold.

 

The bronze-green ribbon with old gold edges belongs to the SARP Star for Distinguished Service.

Yes you are 100% correct

 

I have the same award, but with the SARP Cross for Valour (IF) 1966 ribbon
