The insignia was not "homologué" and was taken over by the 9th Marine Infantry Brigade (9e BIMa) in July 1963, which became the 9th Marine Infantry Division (9e DIMa) on 1 January 1976, which became the 9th Marine Light Armoured Brigade (9e BLBMa) on 1 July 1999.
