Wat05 Posted Friday at 05:50 Posted Friday at 05:50 Here is one that will be delivered very soon, but with a hallmark ‘M’! Of course, Japanese Mint in the Shōwa Era, 1930-43. This one also looks practically mint, especially for its age. Were these mass-produced and not awarded, or did the Japanese just really care about their awards and were most careful?
TracA Posted Friday at 14:16 Posted Friday at 14:16 Hello Wat05, Not sure how "mass produced" these were, but I believe that in general the recipients cared for the orders/decorations/medals that they received because they viewed them as "coming from the Emperor". I am confident that I read that somewhere but I cannot remember where. Nice M marked 8th class! All the best, Tracy 1
Wat05 Posted Friday at 14:27 Author Posted Friday at 14:27 Hello, Thank you for your reply! It is quite lovely to see how they have such care for these awards.
