    Dear Gentlemen,

     

    On December 1, 1958, the 2nd Colonial Parachute Regiment (2e Bataillon de Parachutistes Coloniaux - 2e B.P.C.) changed its name to become the 2nd Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment (2e Régiment de Parachutistes d'Infanterie de Marine - 2e R.P.I.Ma.), disbanded on July 15, 1962, recreated in Madagascar on January 1, 1965, then transferred to Reunion Island, stationed in Pierrefonds since 1973.

     

    The insignia of the 2nd Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment (2e RPIMa) homologué G 1307, the homologuation dates from August 25, 1956, that of the insignia of the 2nd R.P.C., Drago Paris:
