Some different types, from different time periods, and some further information.

 

The first image shows the original issue, in its issue packet, circa 1955. The third image is a December 1973 issue box, this one being from N.S. Meyer.  The backing plate on the enclosed ribbon bar was hallmarked N. S. Meyer M-22. Fifth and sixth images are, from left to right, the Korean War Era issue (1955-1960), the Vietnam War Era issue (1966-1975) and the Persian Gulf War Era issue (1990s). Seventh and eighth images are L.I.G.I. (Lordship Industries Group International) cased issues from the mid-1990s.
