I've a chance at buying this sailors death plaque (no medals). The last submarine lost in WWI (presumably mined)

Any idea what he recieved the DSM for?

Thanks for that Monty, but as I am not a relative, etc. etc. I could do nothing in that line. Unfortunatly sold now, for ?80!!!
