Robin Lumsden
It's for veterans of the 'Iron Division', a Freikorps formation that fought in the Baltic in 1919. Here's their flag..............

Peter1975
Thanks Robin! When do you think it´s made? 1923-1933? /peter Edited August 15, 2010 by Peter1975
Robin Lumsden
Thanks Robin! When do you think it´s made? 1923-1933? /peter It's hard to say, Peter, because the swastika wasn't only a Nazi emblem. I'd guess about 1930..............10th anniversary of the division being wound up. Just a guess, though.
Peter1975
That's fact about the svaz. not only being a nazi symbol but the pictures shown above doesn't have any svaz. so... Perhaps the veterans of the division had a connection to the SA, SS or the Nsdap...many old members of the iron division that had their sympaties in the new regime! A reason for the svaz....but only a guess! /peter
