Jaybo Posted January 18, 2007 Author Posted January 18, 2007 Hello Haynau, I am refering to the Tyrolian 1797 medal. Thanks for any help!Jaybo
Josef Rietveld Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Die tiroler Erinnerungs- und Verdienstmedaille 1797 was given to those members of the tyrolian contingent that showed bravery during the fights against the invading french troops. there are known two ultrarare types of goldmedals (diameter 39mm/25 gramms and 35mm/21gramms) for highranking officers (large gold medal) and officers (small gold medal) and the normal silvermedal (39mm/18gramms) for NCO's and some soldiers. sorry i have no numbers of awarded medals. The ribbon, i never saw one, is described as 30 mm wide, yellow with three 7mm wide black stripes and yellow edge-stripes. haynau
