Carol I Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Can you please help me identify the markings below from a Romanian badge? Some Austrian jewellers did indeed make Romanian orders in the end of the 1800s and beginning of the 1900s, so it is worth asking the question here as well. Thanks."AF" hallmark
Carol I Posted February 3, 2007 Author Posted February 3, 2007 Same as above but from a different angle
Carol I Posted February 3, 2007 Author Posted February 3, 2007 Same as above, but rotated 180 degrees
Carol I Posted February 3, 2007 Author Posted February 3, 2007 One more image of the mark I could not make out
Carol I Posted May 26, 2007 Author Posted May 26, 2007 These have been identified as Austrian hallmarks. "AF" is the mark of an unidentified maker, "A" is the Vienna city assay office mark and the third one is an Austrian mark for 0.750 silver. See Unknown hallmarks for details.
