Guest Rick Research Posted July 14, 2009 Share Posted July 14, 2009 That is medical colonel Generalarzt (31.03.98 F, 1902/03 same grade but "with the rank of a Generalmajor") Hugo Meisner. Born Jauer 8 October 1840.Then, and retired 1903/4 as, Corps Doctor of IXth Army Corps.From his 1908/09 Orders Almanac entry, he had a retirement bump to Red Eagle 3rd on Bow as 2nd with Oakleaves after this photo was taken. Other medal bar awards not being worn on his ?bberrock in the photo = Mecklenburg Griffin Order-Commander, Prussian XXV, 70/71, 1866, China-Steel, and 1897.
