Hello to all,
I am a new young on this site. I am a French collector of Japanese medals. I shall like showing you a recent acquisition. It is a decoration of 7è class of the sacred treasure given to a police officer in charge of the safety of prince Hiro Hito (not still emperor) during its visit in Paris (visit of the Eiffel Tower and meeting with Gustave Eiffel, visit of "les Invalides", "Le Louvre" and the airport of "Le Bourget", etc. ... on June 2nd, 1921.
This police officer was in charge of the protection of the prince during its visit and he received this decoration a few days after its départure
The decoration has hallmark "t" and the central mirror is rather wide like epoch "Taisho
Unfortunately I cannot translate the document in kanji and I shall like knowing if it is mentioned the motive for the delivery of medal....... if somebody can help me !!!!
