Eagle: Wehrmacht With Bundesheer Long Service
The gold has evaporated almost completely off this zinky eagle, but it was a 12. That's right, a 12...
so where's the required silver 4 to its right?
Post Anschluss regulations stated that enlisted members of the former Austrian Bundesheer were to wear their last awarded Austrian army long service award with the HIGHEST grade subsequent Wehrmacht one.
So what we have here is a Wehrmacht 12 awarded to a former Austrian NCO 1938-39, with his VI Years Service Cross.
No device, but the PAIR here is WHY there is only ONE device where there should be TWO.
