in the form of a Samurai Kabutu (Helmet).

The maedate (crest) is marked HATTORI SEI (made by Hattori). Hattori was responsible for various Imperial Japanese Navy awards and is now known as The Seiko Watch Company.

The inside of the helmet reads, SHOWA 12 NEN (1939) and KAUGUN KENTI HOUSHOU (Navy Officer Examination Merit Award).
