Yeah I'd say a Deumer going by the catch,it's usually a tight "pigs tail" but yours looks like it has seen some use and has opened up a bit.
Nice cross.

Rich, have you got a straight on shot of your cross?...also can some computer savvy chap do a side by side comparison please?

Interesting,don't think I've ever seen a 22 stamp.

Hello
Thanks Dave.
I have checked this one out against some '76' and it is a perfect match. The dealer sold it as a '16', and even under a loop it looked like it was '16', but with the top of the '1' and the '6' missing due to where it had been stamped. It was only after I photographed it and posted it myself and others saw it was a '76'.
Still, as I said, another one of the list of EK manufacturers that I need to get.
Forgot to say,nice cross!!!
...love that dark patina!

That's a shame, I thought it was a recent film
If the plane did belong to JG 54 it couldn't have been with the unit long, it has no Geschwader markings and still wears it's factory Stammkennzeichen.

Well I think it's a total fake so why don't you send it to me and I'll errr dispose of it for you

Hallo Gents,
seems the film crew were not the first to locate it as evident from some of the missing dials in the cockpit, still now we must wait and see when it will be offered on Ebay
Kevin in Deva.
Yeah looks like a few instruments are missing although I believe it was standing orders for the pilot to remove the clock if at all possible so that might count for one instrument gone.
