John, that's a very nice collection of medals.
Dave, how comes I didn't see any awards when I was last in England? Where were you hiding them, with your daggers?
Tony
Tony mate,I have stacks more but its all in storage......I'm only "allowed" a small collection in the house!

Great looking crosses!
I also like these awards but I only have a fullsize Hamburg and a Bremen stickpin mini, which of these crosses is the most scarce?

Be neat to see a thread dealing with different awards by the same manufacturer.
My own favourite without any doubt, is Steinhauer und L?ck, makers of the finest quality awards in the 3rd Reich ( after all, the task of creating the first tooling for the 1939 Iron Crosses went to Graveurmeister Escher of the Steinhauer firm, not one of the "also-ran" firms like Juncker )
Steinhauer Knight's Crosses are awesome.
I have a few original wartime manufacturers catalogue illustrations which I will post shortly.
Argh,that pic....like salt in a wound!

I wouldn't have bothered with all of that palava Marcus mate, just bung it in some silver dip!
Some collectors think you have commited a cardinal sin if you clean an award but to me all you have done is CLEAN it,not roll a Warrior over it!
Sometimes I dip awards and sometimes I don't,if its a frosty EK or KVK1 then it might get a dip...I think they look great all frosty!

BTW nice Spanish cross mate both before AND after :food-smiley-004:

The KVK case has the silver blocked out cross to the lid and is 621.K.B marked so I'm afraid the 57 cross just couldn't live there anymore,a Steinhauer TR KVK is now in it!
