    1. F.O. for Friedrich Orth of Vienna. Usually has an "underline" to the letters but this is fragile and will often have partially flaked away. Found on U-Boat Badge, High Seas Fleet, Destroyer, Auxiliary Cruiser.
    2. Ausf. Schwerin Berlin in conuunction with Adolf Bock designer mark found on High Seas Fleet Badge.
    3. Ausf. Schwerin Berlin 68 in conjunction with Peekhaus designers mark. Found on Second Pattern E-Boat
    4. Schwerin Berlin in relief ( without "68") found on the Auxiliary Cruiser and Marine Artillerie badges and Ausf. Schwerin Berlin in conjunction with Placzek designers mark, found on Minesweeper and Blockade Breaker
    5. Schwerin came in a variety of styles. The stamped version so far only seen on U-Boat Badges (often quite faint) The version Schwerin / Berlin 68 in relief, found on the Destroyer Badge and 1st pattern E-Boat
    6. Roudolf Souval of Vienna. Contrary to what was a popularly held belief for many years, both angular and round forms of the letters were used on wartime products. Souval manufactured - U-Boat Badge, Auxiliary Cruiser, Destroyer, High Seas Fleet, Minesweeper, 2nd Pattern E-Boat, Blockade Breaker, Marine Artillerie
    7. Following on John's excellent thread on Luftwaffe Badge Makers Marks, here are some of those which will be found on KM War Badges. Funcke & Bruninghaus of Lüdenscheid. (F&BL) So far, on KM Badges, only seen as the LDO Herstellermark, L/56. None noted yet with the F&BL initials. Found on, - U-Boat Badge, Marine Artillerie Badge and Minesweeper.
    8. Darrell, I'd still go with it probably being an unmarked Souval. Have a close look at the details on the globe. This is where you find lots of subtle little differences between makers, but yours seems to be a dead match for Souval. The outline "silhouette" view can change depending on the amount of finishing work that has been done to the stamping.
    9. Zinker. Belonged to Heinrich Niemeyer before he transferred from Minesweepers to command a U-Boat.
    10. Dave, I'll check back though all the images I have stored of Minesweepers. Not a badge I have studied closely enough to give an answer off the top of my head. I kept only two, a Tombak Schwerin and a Zinker.
    11. Dave, There are a few subtle die features on your badge that I'd expect to see on a genuine Schwerin badge but have been missing on the high end fakes, so I reckon yours is OK.
    12. Schwerin Badges IMHO are not always the best, but their HSF takes a lot of beating.
    13. Very nice Dave. Top is a Juncker and the right hand one is an unmarked Foerster & Barth.
    14. Postwar fake from Souval, not the poor quality compared to the original, and the distinctive postwar retaining hook.
