Thanks Jabnus and Glenn!
The village(town) Kaplitz is close to Budweise , some connection with Budweiser Beer? he he
And now I have started a new project , go to http://bayoswede.zoomin.se/index/29788.html
It is not so good-looking but its my first try to list this Honor cross makers, if you have pics of makers I would be most grateful if you would like to share them with me , so I can build up a reference library.

Hallo!
I thought about Ricks words about making a database of the Honor cross markings. So I played with my scanner for a couple of minutes and
here is the result, maybe it could look like this , a little practice and I think we could make a fantastic reference library of makers
number 3 is non combatant and the others are Black crosses for Parents and Widows 300 dpi and 400 dpi

Hi,
To answer Ricks question about Kaplitz I cancelled my New Years celebration and went google instead
well not really, the clock in Sweden now shows 11.oo tuesday.
I found Kaplitz and to my suprise it was named Kaplice before 1938 when Germany walked in and renamed it Kaplitz
It was Sudeten in German, so this is where one of the so vcalled "flower-medals" came from
Another interesting papaer from a common medal.

Hi again, just one more thing befor we all opens up the Champagne bottles....
Does anyone knows how many know makers there is of the Honor Crosses?
I have about 114 different markings noted , but I iam quite sure the real number is far higher
I have to count my different medals but I think I have about 30 by different makers so I am not among the big boys there.

Hi all, I just bought a Bulgarian Medal from 1981, quite common "Bulgaria 1300 years"
The medal for foreigner BUT this is complete with Award book! Normaly this medal came with a paper booklet, but
when awarded to non-bulgarians they got a more Order-book type of booklet.
But now to my question
If I read the name right this is the man who got the medal: Province Doctor Chans Baum ?
Does anybody got any idea of what country he could be from? I suppose it would be an communist country in 1981.
East Germany? Mongolia? any suggestions?
Have a nice weekend

The seller says this is the first type of partisan badge?
Some sort of member badge for former partisans
Anyone seen this type before and know what it is?
Have a nice weekend all

Bonjour Rick,
Well, one could imagine I'd at that... but you're actually not far off !
It's really the other way around though...
Modern Circus develloped in the late XVIIIth and early XIXth Century - the first shows were really equestrian ones (hence the form of the traditionnal circus arena), and many Hungarian horsemen swept over Europe to ply treir trade.
Some of them former Hussars indeed.
The shows evolved to more diverse activities - the all favourite hussar-dress remained.
And, Christer, there's been a proud tradition of swedish Hussars as well (dating to 1757, when some Hungarian mercenaries were brought in to counter the threat of Imperial Russia's irregular cavalry, the dreaded Cossacks) :

Now I have to start look for Swedish Hussars ! You always forget the things on your own backyard....

I searched for Husar pictures and they looked similar but since the photo is taken in D?sseldorf I was thinking he could
be in Westf?hlisches Ulan Rgt nr 5 ? But I cant find pics of the Ulan uniforms on the net.
