Hi,
Thanks for the advice, what price are these usually then as there certainly are not many around.
cheers
Steve
I would 800 EUR is still acceptable, but nothing more for this type.
There are three types, which this is the latest and most common. (3rd type)
2nd type has much lighter color of blue on enammelled center. 1st type (Extremely rare) is pin back and almost flat.
This 3rd type was the one that was awarded during WW2, but also slightly before. That is also common since roughly 100 unissued pieces were liberated from manufacturers stocks in 1990's. There is one special type in silver (hallmarked), which was made in 1929 - that is very rare!!!
Beware of fakes!

Dear Friends,
Attached pictures of very nice quality Order. I wonder if this is actual awarded piece -or perhaps exile piece. I have never seen ones that Spinks made, but this is very hig quality, three part construction. (No breast star). This came from good source and had been in local collection at least from 1960's.
I would appreciate your help.

That is actually not the high end fake but very common in market. Sold by British company (as a fake) in every major European show.

It looks a group to the 27th Jaeger Batalion
Mart
No, JB27 was formed from Finnish - this bar has belonged to some German in v.d. Goltz's Baltic Division, which came to Finland to help white Finns in 1918.

Weitze's badge is good, but little expensive
(That's why it has been there about two years...)

Dear Friends,
How many of the Chief Commander grade were actually awarded - during WW2 and alltogether?
The award criteria looks quite straight forward (Heads of military...) so I assume there are not too many (?). Are the awarded ones numbered or named (or both)?

Hello,
One of the new groups. Actually I got this from IWB Stuttgart but have not able to pictured this yet.
Any chance to be able to research this? I should be able to get list of Germans who got the 2nd class Cross of Liberty.

Jani

I would appreciate any help.

Hello friends,
I am posting this on behalf of my friend. Any chance you could help me with the authenticity. Personally I do not like it, but since I am not an expert I do not want to say final word. There is rzm stamp underneath visor even not pictured here.

How was your trip, Jani? Did you manage to get to the museums?
Hello friends,
It took a while to respond, though I did return back to Finland succesfully...though one tip to future travellers: Estimate the time for taxi from downtown to Airport to at least 1,5 hours... I almost missed my flight...
I did managed to get in to National musem. Some museums were closed during summer from mon-tue, which were my full days there. I will definetly go again to see thingsI missed - you can get airline tickets from Finland for around 130 EUR and my Hotel Tanja (In the heart of the downtown) was also relatively cheap and still nice.
I have been travelling most of the summer and been away from forums, but after next weeks work trip (Portugal here I come), will be back online again.

Any thing new and exciting from Tirol ? All grouped together these can be quite spectacular.
Don, your collection, enthusiasm and knowledge of these awards has prompted me to add at least one example to my collection.

I will return to Finland from my several weeks trip of medal hunting around the world. I got nice lot of these badges and will post them here as soon as I am back in Finland by wednesday.

Thanks a lot!
I will be leaving next sunday and stay for three nights.
I am looking forward to see Bucharest and Romania, even travelling a lot I have never been there before.
Thanks for safety tips! I have a feeling that its no better or worse than most Central European cities like Praque, Budapest etc.
This is now country #38 on my "Will travel every country in the world plan"
