What a wonderful document. Is it yours and, if so, where did you get it? Furthermore, can you post more pages, please :)

What I found particularly interesting was that, based on this catalogue, it appears the uniform regulations were sufficiently flexible that one could buy a kepi/tschako in a variety of styles, according to taste - and mine will be a no.7 - Kavallerie-façon :)

      Hello Trooper_D!

Thank you for the compliments. It is mine. I came across it when I bought a huge collection of old books - 3000 titles or so. There was plenty of early 20th century price catalogs of various firms included. Unfortunately this was the only one regarding military. Do you have any idea for how much something like this would go? I am willing to sell it. It's a wonderful document someone else would appreciate more than me - I do not collect ww1. I know ww2 Solingen (for example) catalogs are quite rare and wanted but I've never seen one from such an early period. I also do not find anything simmilar on the internet.

      Thank you for the info!

    2. Yes, I don't even have one of each - what are the dates & details of the sidecaps please?

Thank you guys. Left sidecap is 100% original and worn, most probably 41-45 period. I can not tell for sure becouse these kind of caps were also worn few years after the war in the JA. The right one is from film/movie fund. I have some more caps with sewed stars, bulgarian partisan cap etc.

    3. Those were introduced in 1958. In gold, worn by infantry and KGB, all ranks from privates to colonels. Also worn on shoulder boards in forms of dresss that had no collar tabs.

The most common of all branch insignia.

Hello Rick and thanks for your answer.

Were any simillar worn between 41-45?

    4. Dear Explorer,

Unfortunately, till now, I have not find any original piece of the Mod.1944 uniform of the Albanian Partisan Army. The oldest uniforms of the communist period I have, are the uniforms of the Mod.1945.

Do you know, the material of the jackets and trousers of your ranks, is Yugoslavian or British production? From the color of your photos, I think that is British furniture.

I send you another photo of Albanian lt/col. in Mod.44 uniform. You can see that the piece of material, under the rank bands, is in color (perhaps red?). Exist this type of colors ranks on the yugoslavian system?

      Regards,

      Artan

We are quite moving away from the topic. Let us continue over the PM. I have sent you a message.

      Regards

    5. Hello.

Original 41-45 partisan insignia is very hard to find. If you have anything to offer or to show me from your collection we can continue this debate over the private messages. I am willing to trade for a kidney. :D My ranks were found here in Slovenia and are 100% original worn by Slovenian in partisan army. Rank: lieutenant. Albanian ranks are quite simmilar and I'm positive some were made in Yugoslavia since many Albanian orders were also made in IKOM and some even in Russia if I remember correctly. Just like Yugoslav ww2 orders who were also made in USSR. Cockades were also shipped from USSR and so on...Do you have any uniform in your collection? Regards.

    6. Small part of my partisan collection. For my soul - only 41-45 period. If anyone has anything to offer we can trade for a kidney. ;)

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Some other stuff including Yugoslav orders/medals and other I'll post some other day. Perhaps.

    7. :shame:

This is one of the veteran's award from SFRY.

Is founded in 1950 for rewarding of the survived participants of the battle at Ilinden in 1903.

      Made from silver. IKOM.

      2500 awarded.

That is true but what I'm saying is that it is the biggest award of Macedonian nation. In Macedonia it had a status like National hero or Partisan spomenica 1941...

    8. What a beauty!

orden_master, may I please ask you for permission to use your picture on my webpage and forum about Slovene partisans. I'd be very grateful.

This is most probably the rarest Partisan order. It was manufactured in SSSR in years 1944-1945. There was 20149 pieces made but a huge amount of them was remelted and replaced by IKOM version of the order. That's why you practicly can't see'em on the market. There was one for sell for 10.000 EUR.

Fantastic piece of history, would really like to buy one myself.

      Congrats!
