Angolia's book "The Pour le Merite and Germany's First Aces" of 1984, states the following: "He was also awarded the Military-Max-Josef Order, but the award never reached him while he was alive... he committed suicide... on 1 January 1919". Still needed some extra info. I guess.
Prior to this he was awarded of course the Pour le Merite on 8 September 1918. Ranked #44 among german aces.

I've read the Max Joseph Order was awarded to him posthumously in 1919.

Only mini I have: nice enameled pieces in this Godet kette. Wish I had the big ones as well - grandma could not find them :)

Let me add a couple more portraits. (Please excuse orientation. Original pics are in upright position)

Hi Gents,
Wanted to share a nice book I've picked up earlier today. A 1873 edition titled "Der deutsch-franzoesische Krieg 1870-71".
Picturing 27 steel-engraved portraits of german military leaders. I particularly like the green front cover and it's iron cross. Plus condition is very good. Only 24 usd.

That kind of sellers should be pinned as NON RELIABLE on this forum for everyone to be warned. Special section, big red letters, photos of them or their locations & shops, addresses, whatever it takes. I am sorry for the negative outcome. It´s so annoying to feel yourself cheated , and I am really pissed off on your behalf.

Here is my best 2010 purchase. The medal grouping of Major Richard Nesselhauf (Identified by Daniel Krause ) Nesselhauf was Hauptmann in Prussian IR 18, and Adjutant of the Prussian Training Mission for the Polish Army.
Best wishes
Matt
