    1. Good evening Gentlemen,

I have recently bought the following WW1 Chinese medal (see pictures in attachment).

.... BUT I am not too sure about the ribbon though... !

I gather it should be the usual 5-striped-Chinese-flag-like ribbon (black-white-blue-yellow-red).

      Could anyone of you confirm?

Regarding this ribbon, does anyone know which medal it is related to?

      Cheers,

      Jean-Sam.

      Rare ... very rare.

      Congratulations on your purchase!

    2. Hi

It was created in November 1918 to celebrate the Allied victory. According to A. Laslo, its greatest abundance occurs in Beijing on November 28, 1918, during a ceremony commemorating the armistice (the Forbidden City '). Attributed to a very limited number of employees, military and civilian, (diplomats) Chinese or foreign, is one of the rarest medals on this topic.

    3. Hello All

Again try to clarify the "obscure" "NOT OFFICIAL ITALIAN VICTORY MEDAL", in which A. Laslo never mentioned in his books. The intriguing that it has photos and information unauthorized medals, as I understand it, were never produced in significant amount .. would just examples for approval? why were they rejected?

Again I came across a photo, taken from the Book of Italian Medals. ("Le decorazioni del Regno di Sardegna and del Regno d'Italia - Commemorative - Vol II")

Here is a picture (unfortunately not of excellent quality) of one of the variants presented in the above table, apparently produced by the company Sacchini (the picture is taken from the volume of Dimitri Bini "Le medaglie ufficiali militari e civili del Regno d'Italia "

      The time will tell

    4. Hi.

Resuming the collection of the Victoria Medal USA WWI. My recent example, a clip with Vic "FRANCE" "MINT condition". the clip is copper, I did not know this type of metal for this medal.

good condition .. the ribbon is like New .. Bronze color is matte, only some brands of oxidation that does not compromise the medal.

      Best Regards

      Lambert
