The thing that has been frustrating to me with him is that I have been eMailing for almost a year trying to buy a copy of one of last year's auction catalogue. The one with the flight badges in it. He has absolutely ignored me. OK, if sold out, the courteous thing would be to say so, but hey, what do I know about conducting a proper business??

Hi Greg, Welcome!! Now, lets see some of those crosses!

And the interior. I hate to say this, but the photo... well, he looks a little too happy to be NKVD!

Now here's where it gets a tad more interesting. I am much more inclined to accept this document as authentic. Is it real? Thanks!

This one looks a little more interesting to my eye. What am I missing? real? Bogus?
Thanks much for the help!

Hi Mike, Hi John.. So, the other mark with the usual charachteristics to the "E & S" is mostly found on the buntmetal badges if I recall correctly? However that one is not seen on the later zinc badges? Or, are both styles seen on the zincers?
Thanks!!

Hi Claudio. An impressive helmet in impressive condition! Congratulations!

Thanks John, very informative. Interesting that the "E" and the "S" are so different from other Juncker marks.

Just a quick note.... Ralph's crosses are marked, not the outer boxes.

Hi Joe, very nice cross and marked like this, rather hard to find. I've seen less than a dozen like this before!

Hi Karl, a curious stamp and one I'm not familiar with. I currently have my eye on a similar marked piece in the UK but the seller's crappy pictures keep me from being able to say they are the same marks as yours. I've seen the 3, but the eagle is one I have no memory of seeing before!!

A popular maker and not shy about ID'ing his work....... we see him almost as much as Godet tagged pieces.

WildCard has let me know that he's back from the auction. Strongly attended and wonderful things, many with wonderful prices. I'm sure he'll update us all when he's caught up on sleep/jet lag/etc.

Thanks all for the help. I had just assumed it to be Turkish. This is a story I would love to hear how he managed to receive this.

Hi Rusty, well that's pretty interesting and yes, that was the guy I was wondering about. He seems to have 99% of the the stuff on eBay. Some pretty outrageous pieces too. Anybody dealt with him?

Hi Heiko, yes there is still some things. Including bits & pieces that should have gone with lots already auctioned off.

I've only been fortunate enough to have had one of these historic little gems. This one is much later though, probably ca. 1825-40 when they were finally filling the "grandfathered" crosses. Now living somewhere in Tejas.

I think a few years back one of the major US dealers auctioned of one of G?ring's PPK's that was "liberated" by a Jewish-American GI. Can't say I blame him.... I would have been far more than tempted to do a little "liberating" myself if I was in his shoes. And please, let's not get into a big squabble over the rights/wrongs over souvenirs....... It's not the time or place for a philisophical discussion. However, feel free to start a civil discourse in the lounge on this subject if anyone's interested.

Now this is an interesting medal bar!
in Germany: Imperial: The Orders, Decorations and Medals of The Imperial German States
Posted
Well, if the opening bid wasn't 600- Euro this would make for one heck of a project!! How about:
Prussian order of the Crown 3
(I'm assuming RAO2 at the neck??)
W?rttemburg Order of The Crown
W?rttemburg Long Service
Baden Henry The Lion RK (??)
1870/71 KDM
Prussian Centennial Medal
Now, the Prinzen=Gr??e Centennial Medal is very impressive, as is the bar itself... but 600- Euro??
Yeesh!
