Sorry, should have clarified my post. I think the miniature is legit but for a ribbon bar

Looks good to me but I’d love to see the front

While I can’t answer your question, I will say it’s a beautiful tunic! Love the medal bar too!

I fear I may be priced out of the market, the prices I see are unbelievable or maybe I’m just spoiled by the way it used to be. I feel very fortunate to have had a wonderful collection when prices were reasonable. I fear those days are over. I’ll keep searching but doubt I can collect in the current market.
To make things worse it seems I’ve lost all my archives! I think all of my images are on a compromised computer that I can’t safely access anymore. (Heaves a heavy sigh)

I find it difficult to believe that this piece sold for 1k USD! What’s up with that?

Thanks, I don’t realize that. It’s a dead ringer for a bar I owned years ago

The Saxon Bar is right but opening bid is 600 Euro! Your right, bars have been adulterated, messed with and monkey fingered as my old friend Rick Research would say.

Nice collections! Years ago I had many cased Austrian orders and medals. The craftsmanship was wonderful!

I had one of these cased years ago, they are beautiful

Hi Bill, thanks for the information. My Mother In Law was from Springfield during and after the war. She eventually remarried to an island hopping Marine (I have his uniform with service ribbons), (my wife’s father).
They moved to East Longmeadow and she lived her life out in Chicopee. Ken was buried in Margraaten (sp?) but eventually reinterred In Springfield. She visited his grave faithfully for her entire life. Overseas it turned out he was buried near my Great Uncle’s brother. You should have seen her and my uncle hobnobbing at gatherings. He flew photo reconnaissance in B-17s during the war and actually had pictures of the cemetery.
I have his brother’s Purple Heart. He was KIA as a prisoner cleaning up ruins in Scharffamberg (sp?) when a second wave of bombers came through.
small world!

opinion on medal bar

The folding of the ribbons is not consistent across the bar, never a good sign
