Nothing wrong with a short Luftwaffe bar!

here's some that have fallen through my fingers!

I have to confess..... the title made me think I would be seeing 99 of these!

As an aside...... one of the more famous people refused this award was Manfred vonRichtoffen!

Fabulous Bar Paul.......... very hard to find a FAM on the Frieden's Ribbon. Just a wonderful sight!

Here's the reverse. Pretty sure this is the bar shown in The Iron Time.......
Long gone, but hardly ever forgotten.

Mine was a little more refined, with no exposed metal bits. Some of you may recognize this bar........

A rather intensive website. One to just p*ss off the guy on the street here. They take tons of our money but we can't do some of the basic stuff to protect our guys in the field. Why they are there, or whether they should be, or not, is irrelevent. For cryin' out loud, give them the tools they need to succeed!

Gordon! Gorgeous U-Boot! Did you do that one yourself!?? How did you do the water? Poly resin?

I think the Bremen is just as hard to find as a Lubeck. Not just loose, but mounted in a group. Very much the exception, not the rule. As a group of three, very impressive visually!

I must say that I have never seen such a present to so young an officer from the "other ranks"... most impressive piece with a real story behind it.

OK, I have to ask.... what does the title on the packet say in eeeeeengleeeesh, Bitte?

Interesting as the usual German markings would be:
"Silber"
"800"
"938"

Nice photo! But only 3 of the pin-backs are WW1. The upper left looks like your usual '39 KVK2wX. Others are:
Prussian 1914 EK1
Oldenburg FAK1
Mecklenburg FFK1
Ribbon Bar looks like a 5X bar to me with Czech Anschlu? Medal in last place. Rare to find any photo of a Zep badge in wear!!!

I agree with Gene. very unusual to find an enlisted fellow's photo wearing a padded PB. Nice find!

I agree with Bob, usually you see this with the lapel stud for a back! Nice find Joe!

Our very own Rick Research has several of these still minty-fresh & boxed that he's "hording"..... I saw 'em and they were every bit as sweet as the opening photos!!

Hi Gordon, Siedlatzek is a definate WW1 maker of Orders, Decorations and Medals
Another question. Was Hansen definitely a manufacturer , or simply a retailer (like Sedlatzek whose name can be found on screw fittings for 1939 EK1s, but was never a maker) ?

Just an interjection with the "crown" issue. We know that certain Makers (notably Wagner, Friedlander and Sye & Wagner) marked EK1's with Crescent Moon, Crown, 800 punch marks. In addition, we know Friedlander marked their HHORK the same.
However, the debate concerning the crown and Imperial Aviation Badges should be restricted to that/those piece(s) only. The issue is contentious at best with collectors having invested thousands and thousands of dollars in "bad" (IMO) badges and have become totally unwilling to see any type of reality of the situation.
We know Juncker marked its' larger pieces with the 3 marks, howver there are no Juncker-made small pieces from the same era!
In conclusion, seeing these marks on an EK1 would not bother me a bit. I'd personally love to have one of these Hansen Crosses as the workmanship looks fabulous to say the least. What I would recommend to my aviation friends is to study this crown mark carefully. despite the fact that the maker is different, compare the quality of this punch with the cheesey punch marks on the (IMO) fake Pilot Badges by Juncker!

I love these little 2-place bars... but it always makes me a touch sad to realize the recipient probably did not live very long...

Just an FYI, but a slightly larger bar with this medal was sold recently in Canada. Snapped up almost instantly. Rick is quite right, think scarce to an extreme!

Thanks Heiko, if it turns out the clasp is bogus I guess I can count myself in good company with others that are/have been fooled. One difference though, this Kameroon clasp has different shaped numbers from the fakes shown. (??)
