Outstanding cross and very hard to find. I have often wondered why the KMST Crosses were so complex, so extraordinarily marked as to maker, etc. One of the premium WW1 makers, for sure!

I'll try to resize some additional photos of authentic badges for examples. Once upon a time, I owned 4 of these at once! I always balked at the (real) 100's I found in Germany. Some sellers wanted the equivalent of an RK price!
These are very tough badges to judge and collectors should use extreme caution when purchasing one!

I received a ribbon bar this week with a miniature device for the 8-Year Polizei Dienstmedaille... A first for both Rick's!!!

I think Rick's (The Evil Rick) right...... looks like the TWM ribbon had a crescent device once upon a time.

hmmmmmmm, Godet boxed ribbon bar....... mmmmmmmmmm Yummy!

PS:..... The ribbons look like it once was a "shorty" W?rttemburg mount... thin bar, no backing, just kind of wrapped around a popsicle stick would look about right. This odd style is almost always/only seen with W?rttemburg medals.

Nice group, I wouldn't mount it. He probably wore them all pinned on... to "frugal", or maybe too old & tired to mount them!

:excl: Kind of looks like a Manatee !!

Yep, 5th ribbon bar box, THIRD Lapel Bow Box. I had a Godet RK-HHOwX that was boxed.....

Hi Mike! Nice cross and a tough case to find. I'd say closer to the '40's, based on the hinge plate (??).

I would agree, typical "Godet" piece based on backing, stitching and quality. Reuss is very hard to find, especially the higher grades of the House Order! C'est fantastique Christophe!

I think on eBay awhile back there was a pretty good sized Saxon bar with an "uncut" strip of Scharffenberg labels as backing! 4 or 5 pieces if memory serves.....

And its' matching maker's box!

..... mmmmmm! Anybody care to venture a guess as to what makes this seemingly simple Polizei bar so very, very unique and special?

Hi John! Welcome!!!!!!!!! Good to see you here! I'm glad John remembers what is his. I have archived photos of everything I've ever handled but keeping track of what went where??! It could probably be researched through my annual spreadsheets, but yikes, what a monster that would be!

It's too bad we don't have "drooling" smilie! OUTSTANDING Bar Claudio! (BTW, welcome on-board!) The two "merit crosses" of the Merit Order and Albert Order with swords are pretty tough to find...... mounted together..... yummy!

Just because my lawyer sister spins her own yarn for fun.... there's many 2X and even some 3X combinations of "all in one" that can be found. Examples are known to exist with upwards of 6 or so as well!

A good place to mention that there was also a "silver" cross issued cased to members of Bavaria's court. Very rare. Here's a picture of the packaging that these were issued in:

There will be a series of 4 scans....... I invite Herr Research to post them and then explain this to us all.

An outstanding example despite the damages to the box. I've had one or two of these with the outer carton from this maker. I always find these boxes fascinating... if you look at period photos of award ceremonies, you will rarely see the cartons displayed, usually just the presentation cases. These little cardboard boxes are scarcer than hen's teeth!
