    1. Hello Rick, I hope You are well ?! The Nachlaß has been sold about ten years ago from a trader in Niedersachsen. and the story can be continued Here is his Befähigungs - Zeugnis zum Unterlieutenant zur See der Reserve
    2. Hello Rick, I´m glad that I could help You once. My source for his lifedates is his certificate of death.
    3. Yes, I mentioned his military rank. I think it is him wearing a merchant marine uniform while he was captain from the Albert Ballin from the Hamburg - Amerika Linie ( Hapag )
    4. As a little thanks for Your appreciated work Charakterisierte Korvetten Kapitän Paul Wilhelm Friedrich Carl Wiehr born 07.05.1868 at Hasenhänge Mecklenburg died 14.09.1942 at Hamburg
    5. Hallo Dave, IMO the silberne Verdienstmedaille Friedrich I. am Bande des Militär Carl Friedrich Verdienstordens was only awarded until 1907. Regards Andreas
    6. Sorry Andy that my request wasn´t precise. I known that it is a reserve officers guards helmet, what I wanted to know was, is it a helmet from 7. Garde Infanterie Regiment. I thought it was Garde-Pioniere or Garde-Füsiliere.
    7. Thanks Andy, does this helmet match with 7. Garde Inf Rgt. ? About 20 years ago I got this helmet with the 399 shoulder boards and an EK 1 14.
    8. Thank´s for searching, now I´ve to wait for further informations from the former owner I'd say somebody "clever" probably took an EH3bX off and "downgraded" to this EH4X. Wadda maroon (as Bugs Bunny always said) in that case. I see that the current Nimmergut "1800-1945" STILL persists in an absolutely moronic undervaluing of the EH4X. Those folks haven't "bothered" picking up 2008's (!!!) Lundström/Krause from Autengruber (or the authors) so... anybody who FINDS one... BUY that EH4X before the Official Bible compilers... notice. Actually an EH4X has been sold on evilbay for 714,99 €. Regards Andreas
    9. Captain and Major from Feldartillerie Regiment 9 Otto Ritter von Pracher served at the staff from this unit Regards Andreas
    10. Hello Marcin, IMO most german collectors are collecting 3rd Reich then WW 1 and at last 70 / 71. Even more german collectors are on the hunt for medals only a few of us are collecting paperwork too. The common term for the Kriegsdenkmünze is KD 70/71, KDM 70/71 but I´ve also seen Erinnerungsmedaille 1870 /71 before. If You need further information feel free to send me a PM. Regards Andreas
