    1. There was a St. George Medal for Prussians who served in Russia during the Napoleonic Wars so it is possible there was one for other nations as well. Robert E. Smith

      Hello

I have this small bar, can somebody help me.

With an Armeekreuz 1813-1814 and an St Georgs Cross.

The number of the St Georgs cross is 25 737.

When was this cross commissioned ? and to whom?

      Many Thanks.

    2. That is an AMAZING site - tried to find something like that for ages - many many thanks!

It looks like IR 46 was only in service till 1914? Or am I reading that wrong?

The site only covers the period to 1914. For 1914-1918 use the site listed below. There is lots of information but it is a bit harder to use. Robert

      Austro-Hungarian Land Forces 1848-1918.

    3. The tunic is 2nd Guards Infantry Regiment. The cuff and pocket piping represents 1st Guards Division, 2nd Regiment. The tunic is dated 1915 on the inside.

These are very nice looking. What's the first one, and why does the cuff have white piping and the pocket flaps blue?

      Much appreciate the photos,

    4. I collect German, Austrian and Russian tunics, I will post a few of them here. Email me if interested in details. Enjoy. Robert E. Smith

Imperial Russian 2nd Guards Infantry Regiment Tunic, 1915.

    5. I purchased this shirt/tunic several years ago from a well known U.S. dealer. I have never been able to figure out the exact period of use. The shoulder boards are gray. Any help is appreciated. Robert

    6. I have an Austro-Hungarian General Staff tunic of a Colonel from about 1910. This tunic has loops for a medal bar and 5 breast badges/stars plus sash. Can anyone help with the possible identification of the officer who wore this tunic? I would also be interested in what order the sash represents. There is no label on the inside but I assume that most General Staff Colonels did not have so many orders etc. Thanks. Robert E. Smith
