Ben, do you have any of the late bluish/black painted steel buckles? And what do you think of them? I had an example but could not grow to like it so it wandered off to a new home.

Ben, nice buckle. Would it be a parade buckle with the silver paint late in the war or were they using what paint was available?

Congrats. First example I have seen with the marks in the reverse of the rune.

Robert, is your example gilted? It appeared so on the sellers images.

Rob, thanks. Was it your picture of older Ethnic Germans, on late war crop guard duty wearing dj buckles that I saw on another site?

The way it is made it looks like an N.S. Meyer, INC. New York, USAF silver buckle that I wear for a work buckle. Plain, no insignia. Same side and top design the size of the square notch on the bottom and sans writing being the only difference.

Rob, could that last example be a more recent veterans org. ?

Reverse, brass w. nickle plated body, nonmagnetic catch, not brass. Keeper is magnetic steel w. silver paint.

A transitional mark dj buckle, attributed to (Berg & Nolte) by collective consensus. RZM 36 marked.
Obverse.

Sorry, spelling change once again.

I can assist with some research on my end. May have one DJ example on the way. If so will photo as best I can.

Ben, thanks for the link, quite a list.
What about a list covering the known transitional marks. That should be doable.

Would anyone have a list of markings found on HJ and or DJ buckles?
Feel it would be a benefit to all.

I have seen quite a few of the plastic flags but few of the wooden flags. Not popular? I have only one and must admit I have not actively searched for more. Not a favorite but different.
Obverse.
Appears to be part decal then painted around.

Reverse.
I can not make out the ink stamp.

More shooting please. I planted a couple way back on post #130. Must be quite a variety of them.

Cottage industry? Interesting mark. Will give it some thought.

Excellent work Don. Much effort involved to review and catagorize the tinnies.
Well done.

Mere guessing, "A" could be for Arbeiter, one "T" could be for Turn or Turnfest?

Yep, thats it. My example was not marked and was unissued in the tissue wrap. I try to refrain from unworn pieces in my collection (my way of controling my collecting urges), that and the lack of any mark sent it on it's way.
I still find them of interest. Any one found a worn example from a Vet source? Thoughts as to the late Heer or coastal artillery use?
