For ebay pairs I feel not going to win no matter what I enter, I can remember around $20-30 pr on old manions that would be mid '80's $10-15 norm for singles. Always thought it was a perfect beginning for young collectors together with awards, forget that now.

Eric, ole buddy, pal, peezo, pard....post a photo of this tornister you seek, so I can show my lady friends to go shopping for me.
(Why does Eric have smilies and I don't?)
Well
I'm not showing what one looks like here otherwise I'll never get me paws on one, what an insane request.

Eric,
Is that 1917 dated pair of Stiefelhose yours? They look just like my pair, same date, ankle ties, etc. Very nice.
Chip
I got them from a collector in France, expensive.

Evidently, the Eßbesteck (spork) was introduced along with the M1910 Kochgeschirr.

Here's a picture where they're still using a spoon with m10, early diagrams have it carried inside the tornister. note maybe letters from home tucked inside the tunic cuffs.

A little short of $7000 didn't look close I'd say they were Steingrau, piped from just below the pockets without the lower leg ankle lining, no gusset reinforcement. Faint ink stamps, very good condition.

No it doesn't
In some early pictures they look to be using a spoon not sure when they went to the spork.

'rechthaberisch'
for me and others from the n.east of England = 'opinionated' (one on the verge of an argument or kicking the cat across the room) = just agree with him.

These are mine on uniforms... but need a link to Mr Chip lol!
The two Kraus volumes are superb Somers books are very good the more he publishes, on top he is a first rate Gent. I really enjoyed his 3rd volume showing more details and ersatz pieces.
In volume 2 chapter 10 'Uniforms' he has wonderful handy one and half page breakdown on changes and dates and the photography is first rate. I just wish he had 'waited' a little longer and obtained modern images of more EM field uniform examples residing in Private collections before going to press. (btw the camo helm on page 491 is believed to be a copy)
The gripe..... I hate this as Joe say's 'coffee table' format. Schiffer books are too expensive too large and heavy plus won't fit on normal bookshelves, furthermore the binding is crap.
'man with many book have nothing to say...Confuhoss

I have the two smaller Kraus volumes they are wonderful but in German means type everything in translate on something of interest. I have a m15 and a mantel with stitched boards on top of the loops. I know I only 'play war games' but notice slip-ons are a pain always getting snagged on things, may mean something in fact one learns alot just wearing the same clobber for a few days ie: steel helmets I can't stand it for more than half an hour at a time.
Sorry gone on abit its the meds.
