Thanks for your replay, speedytop! my question about the 20 years medal was because the reverse is blank and I remember that I saw that on the reverse their should be some writing. is this another difference between the Medaille and the Ehrenmedaille?

Here are couple of new purchases, the 20 years to the founding of the DDR medal (or is it the badge?) and the NVA sport badge (in gold? or is it the usual color of all those badges?)

ISRAELI COMMUNIST PARTY:
Seen recently on E-Bay, not a military item but interesting enough.
Kevin in Deva.
It's actually a badge of "Banki" (Hebrew initials that stand for "The Israeli Communist Youth Alliance") the youth movement of the Israeli Communist Party.

It's maybe just me but the front of the medal seem to need a bit of cleaning up.

Here is my Verdienstmedaille der NVA in silver.
as you can see it's numbered on the back and marked 900 on the edge. since the medal number is quit low (00225) I think it's safe to assume it's an early produced medal. however I saw example of this medal where the "900" mark is stamped on the reverse side of the medal.

Could anyone ID this medal? all I know that it's related to the town of Roggenburg in the Ederswiler canton and it's probably was issued in 1959.

Arab legion badge ?
in Middle East & Arab States

This might account for the difference: since the got the badge as a part of a UN lot I think it's may be a modern badge worn by the present day Jordanian army (as best as I recall the Jordanian army involved in allot of UN missions). I think that the badge on "Historama" is from the period in which the Arab Legion existed.
