    1. Hi everyone, i like to share this medal to the members here in this forum, in the photos you can see the 2 types of 1st issue of Jose P. Laurel Medal made in 1943, during the Philippine occupation. stuck by C. Zamora & Sons.

The bronze was stuck in 2000 pcs only (base on Basso's Book)

The silver is not listed in Basso's Book and only have seen 3 pcs in different private collectors. (maybe 5 or less existed)

    2. Hmmm ...

600 bucks for unknown medal ...

And pretty worn out medal I must add...

      Two words: "too much"

      IMveryHO of course :)

Ya i also have a feeling it is too much, i just thinking the price will be around $150 - $400 only if in ebay???

it is also one of the reason why im looking for someone who have an idea or have seen this medal before..

    3. Im still thinking if i will buy this medal.... :wacky: from a antique dealer here... it is pricey also. about $600, do you think it is worth it Nick? just afraid it might show up again in ebay or in auctions in future and will be sold in low value.

    4. Me too Nick it my 1st time to see this medal, i just dont know how this medal got here in Philippines......the medal is made in Surabaya, Indonesia.... :speechless:

Maybe this squad was also assigned later in Philippines.

    5. Hi i need help.... does anyone here in forum have seen this medal? it says スラバヤ攻咯一週年記念 2603 - Surabaya attack anniversary week and date 2603 (front) 佐土原部隊 - Navy of Sadowara forces (back)

      size : 24 mm diameter

Does anyone also have this medal in your collection?

and what do you think will be the value of this medal in market?

what will be the level of rarity of this medal?

      Thank you

    6. Ya Mr. Nick a copy of the book will help us alot, i also email him if he still sell those books or e-book is OK also, cant wait for his reply....i hope he will reply to us.......i also hoping if i can get a lead trail peace like from the collections in Ray Czahor in future....

Nice photos about the 23 pcs Homma Medal, lucky you found that photos....i still didnt see those photos in internet, only the auction list in Ray Czahor's past auctions.

If i can go back in time i like to join the 2010 auction of Ray Czahor, it has alot of rare Philippines coins and medal, like the 1906 S coins, Homma Medals and other more.. :speechless1::speechless:

    7. Hi Post Mr. Nick, Great post.....i enjoy to reading it ...it has alot of details and additional information about the Homma Medal.

It is really hard to know its exact quantity and types medals that were produce during the war, and dont know either if there was post-war reproductions or not.

It is still a big mystery to me :speechless: unit now..... hope there will be more clearer information to come soon about Homma Medal

Nice work Mr. Nick really appreciated it.

      Thank you

    8. Ok. So silver is for officers and bronze is for soldiers.

But why two silver versions - with the loop and without the loop?

      Any versions? :)

Im not quit sure if bronze is for soldiers and silver for officers, but some says it was how they are divided????

or some are repro. and some are original??? which makes the silver into 2 types(with loop and w/o loop)?

    9. So what is this bronze version?!

Simply the "trial piece" or indeed version "for soldiers"?

      Any info chaps?

      Ideas?

And while you are thinking about how to help me out (I know you have kind hearts ;)) - better quality pictures of exactly the same bronze version of the medal that we saw in the Murphy/Ackley book.

Please note, that this is (again!) different stamp ...

Hi again Mr. Nick, the bronze trail peace had been produce many replica in Philippines, due to its price....and few people have seen it in actual.....i have some in my collection year years ago but not sure if it is a trail peace or just a replica in market.

Even the siver Homma medal had many reporduction, due to its price....
