Nice document Turtle !
My earliest is from 27th October 1934 , You have the earliest I seen so far
Christer
Thanks! I wonder when the earliest regular awards took place?! I´ve read in an old newspaper, that the application forms where only available in late september / early october, so somewhere in september 1934 I think.

Something to revive this topic:
These two documents belonged to a Karl Wolf born 27.11.1900. He served in the army from the 11.09.1918 till 21.11.1918 with the replacement unit of Inf. Rgt. 170. In 1934 he applied for his Ehrenkreuz für Kriegsteilnehmer (Cross of Honor for Non-Combatants).
Unfortunately I don´t have his award document

Beautiful medal! I would be really interested in participating, but I think you need some serious training before even considering to participate!

Great group, especially with the awards! I think the pencil note on the first document reads something like: Fr. Kr. a. 16.5.35 This could be short for Frontkämpfer Kreuz (Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer / Hindenburg Cross) awarded to him on the 16.5.1935.

Impressive array of medals and a lot of promotions during a short time!

Interesting medal bar, the unofficial commemorative medal is especially nice! Strange that he had no other decoration, I would´ve at least expected a Verdienstkreuz für Kriegshilfe or maybe (I say maybe!) a Kronen-Orden IV. Klasse!

Did he also serve during WWI?

Never knew that blimps were used that way during WWII, very interesting!!

Very interesting, so far I´ve only seen a few WWII Wehrpässe for guys born abroad (USA, former German colonies ...), none for WWI.
Did your man receive weapon training or awards?

Thanks for showing the additional documents! Him being wounded 3 times during the few last months of the war is a good example for the intense and desperate fighting!

Amazing medal group! If he would have worn all of his awards together .... it must´ve been an incredible view!!

Mainland Europe only, delivery possible for Fr, B, D and NL.

Is it a deactivated rifle?

Nice rifle, the condition seems to be quite good! It would fit perfectly for a Volkssturm display.
