Hello,
the bill was for an Feldwebel (NCO).
That was a lot of money this time.
A regular worker earned 180 RM/month and one Kilogramm bread was 0,37 Reichsmark.

Hello,
Ohnesorg changes in January 1918 from the Chevaulegers to the artillery as a driver. He finnished the war with the bayerisches Fußartillerie-Bataillon 28.
He was awarded with the EK2 in July 1918. I could find his dates at the ancestry-database.
Kaiserslautern is a city in the Pfalz-region, which belongs in this time to bavaria. Thats the reason why he join the bavarian army.
Show us some pages.
Cheers Andreas

Hello,
congratulation to this nice silver gilt MVO.
Is it a second class?
Did you get this award with its box?
Are there any markings on the MVO?
What is its weight of the single cross?
I'm not a specialist with the higher grades of the MVO, so I want to become some informations about it.
Thank's for showing

here is a postcard of the 100 aniversary of the Leibregiment.
The picture shows the uniforms of the beginning.

Hello,
that was a award for helpful work, given to members of the redcross.
The founder of this award was the redcross-association of Thüringen (Thüringer Landesmännerverein v. Roten Kreuz)
I don't know the time it was awarded, but the font looks like early 20th century.
Cheers Andreas

Someone tells a lot of the story of the decoration. That makes the decoration not better.
Look at the crown of the lions head. The original has a square form not a round form.
You mean someone is telling lies??? :-)

Hello,
nice item, what you got.
I think this price with a long ribbon is ok. Some years ago, I bought such a decoration without ribbon about 50 Euro.

Bavarian Bravery Medal?

Hello,
in the book "Bayerns Goldenes Ehrenbuch", which shows the storys about all owners of the Militär-Max-Joseph-Orden, Militärsanitätsehrenzeichen and the Tapferkeitsmedaillie Gold / Silber, said his birthday was in 1892.
For over three years I worked on a database about the owners of the bavarian bravery-medal. My references were this book, a brochure of the "Verein der Tapferkeitsmedaillienträger 1955" and the listings of the ancestry-database.
