Hi Rick,
I bought this bar this year in February for my collection which consists of WW1 and WW2 medal and ribbon bars of Germans fighting in Finland. My own international background "put" me into that business...I collect and do not sell until my wife kicks me out...I do not think that this will happen
So, would you like to whisper the name into my ear or give all persons interested in this topic the opportunity to participate in the revelation of another brave man's name.
Cheers
Mikko

Hello guys,
a tricky one...a pic of a potential receiver is existing, but no name. Definitely sth for the best of the best researchers...because very comon combination as far as I am concerned.
Pls look also at the medal bar, posted yesterday in the thread "Finnish Awards to Germans 1918"...is out there a wizzard to identify it?
Best regards

Hi Claudius, hi @ all,
a typical Godet bar. Here is the reverse. Could it be Polizeihauptwachmeister Beyer's bar?

Hello collector-friends,
here is the promised medal bar. Maybe the name can be identified and the we could have another candidate for your list, Christer.

Hello Dave,
thank you. So you think, that this guy could have possessed the above pictured ribbon bar?
How can one distinguish properly if the Liberty cross was either given for WW1 or WW2? The same question could be asked concerning the class of the cross. One could build up a tree diagramm:
WW1 second class - WW1 third class
WW1 third class - WW1 fourth class
WW1 second class - WW2 fourth class
WW1 second class - WW2 third class
WW1 second class - WW2 second class
WW1 third class - WW2 second class
WW1 third class - WW2 third class
WW1 third class - WW2 fourth class
WW1 fourth class - WW2 second class
WW1 fourth class - WW2 third class
WW1 fourth class - WW2 fourth class
By the way, how does a fourth class look like on a ribbon bar?

Hi guys,
interesting topic - because my area of interest.
Here is another name (you can find more information on German wikipedia):
Hans-Karl Freiherr von EsebeckHe got the the Cross of Liberty 2nd class + Medal of War of Liberation, both of course 1918.
Later this evening, I will post a great Imperial medal bar...maybe another name will be soon revealed.
Have a good day

Hello,
I was lucky to buy this nice ribbon bar at Christian's last auction.
I already discussed it with Christian, but we could not find any name for it - difficult, because there might be no list for German's receiving Liberty Crosses. It is also not sure, if these Liberty Crosses have been awarded for duty in 1918 or 1941.
Maybe out there is someone who is able to build up a career for this unidentified soldier...or even recognize whether the Liberty Crosses have been awarded for WW1 or WW2 or - or one for WW1 and the other for WW2.
Best regards

Hello,
yes, it would be nice to find a picture of this arm shield on a soldier's clothes or sth else.
Would be nice to "solve" this problem.
Bye

Hello,
do you like my armshield? If I compare it to others in the internet, it looks similar but not same.
Maybe some experts can proove the originality.
Thanks

Hi Daniel,
wow. thank you...somehow a little bit disappointing...not a pure military career...more a manager. But Christer has a new name for his list
