Thanks for the detailed explanation.  It would on the face of it look like a lot of people have been taken to the cleaners.  I haven't looked at the thread in detail as I wouldn't touch a tin helmet for more than a 100 euro tops, so 25k to me is just stupid!  I am guessing that no one has found one of this type in the ground yet, which to me would be more damning.  Are you of the opinion that they are stencilled or have you not looked much at it yourself yet?

Your getting better if that is possible!  Here is a technical question for you.  It appears on the WAF and German Helmets Walhalla that the SS Champagne Decals are alledged to be airbrushed onto blank helmets.  What is your take on that from a purely technical point of view would it be possible to do this with accuracy and consistancy?

Got this last night from a new work pal.

I am aware that there is some controversy on another forum about these, I am happy with them .  The other four blank tags came out the ground in Fallingbostel.  I thought I would try scanning for a change, it is a Brother Laser printer/scanner.

Can I bump this as it apears people still think this to be ok but I have not read any explanation as to the RZM on a non political item?

I think inert stuff is ok over here. Lets face it, it is simple enough to improvise a shaped charge if someone wants to and has ill intent.

Makes a good door stop!  It is filled with tar and sand to simulate the correct weight!

From the side the shaped charge is visible and would have been very effective at cutting metal supports etc.

Not sure if these are war time?  There are 19 of them if anyone would like one as a reference piece let me know. I expect the process of manufacture was the same for all Bevo badges?
