Guys,
This tickeled me.
I have another somewhere.
I like how the Germans practicle approach to things spawned many of these recyled items.
Wonder if it had a 1000 year garuntee!

last 5.
To do this properly I will have to strip the folders down and scan them, I think that is a better option.

the technical forms are quite interesting, not too dissimilar to what was being used until recently, I suppose now it is all on computer with no manual firing as a back up?

Guys,
A spot of luck today, I have obtained 3 folders pertaining to the above stated course which was run at the Nebeltruppenhule Celle in Oct 1942.
It appears to be an asspirant officers entire course work covering NBC, Tactics, Politics, Military Dicipline,Logistics, etc.
The most interesting part for me is that they appear to have conducted live fire exercises at Bergen and Munster ranges, most of the OPs listed are in the modern impact area but it made me smile that this guy fired from Hengstberg OP and it is still used today.
It is a bloody miserable point in winter and it must have been more so without 'Goretex'.
Also he has kept examples of some of the technical Artillery proformas for survey, shooting, met etc.
There is a lot to go through bet I will post up a cross section of the course.
If anyone requires scans or more detail of a specific sections let me know.
Cheers

Guys,
This is a bit morbid but it has the right look to be period.
It has no marking but the zip fastener on the surviving short zip is 'riri'.
Construction is blue grey sailcloth which has been rubberized on the inside.
Heavy duty leather handles that are stitched and riveted.
It has had a bit of use and the wife is not that keen on it being in the house.
Any thoughts from medically focused folk?
Cheers

Gone a bit off track here.
I wonder what Robin would make of this one.
It has the Fanfare Banner attachments but still no maker?

Got It Mate!
I had it on the smaller thumbs which was not doing it for me on this screen, have changed to larger icons.
I think so with regards to the docs and I think he sold the book seperatley.
Its from a local 'pikey' so I have no chance of finding it.
I have tried to explain the importance of keeping 'it' all together but at the end of the day I am happy to catch anything original these days.

I like the Wagner, seem like a finer design and strike with the detail on the leaves and the less chunky cogwheel.
I will keep my eyes peeled!

It was the Manteuffel that I had doubts about.
I searched the web and so far nothing was similar, he seems to stress the 't' in other examples, I guess he may have been tired by that stage of the war though.
I am struggling with the format here, it is not as easy to navigate as some of the other forums.
I will have a search through the database.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Guys,
Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on the signatures?
The paper is ok but I am a naturally suspicious person.
Thanks in advance for any direction.

Stan,
Cheers mate, I think it is OK too.
I have been back today for a poke around and found some post war paper that supports the ID of the owner by Br James on WAF.

Guys/Girls,
I have been given this today, I think it is ok from what I have seen online.
The last 4 pics are from a usb microscope thing which seems to distort the colour a bit?
Pity about the pin being broke, bugger!
I have not cleaned it.
I may have some more info tomorrow about the family name and/or some paper if lucky, you never know!

Hello Hucks,
It is a very fragile bit of paper, I am not sure what to do with it, do you think behind glass is best?
Thanks for the steer to the sorties, quite horendus losses from the bomber formations.
Still I suppose the civil casualties balance it out in the greater scheme and hopefully they hit their targets shortening the war?
Terrible business war!

Odulf,
I have just got a sleave band for I believe a RADwJ lady it has GauOst-Hannover and it looks like it also had -Stab but that has been unpicked at a guess by the lady at the time?
Looking at the other bits and bobs she served 1938/39.
Not much help but they did have Gothic writing?

None of them are maker marked and they are all slightly different in construction and sadly only one is completely without damage or repair.
It would seem that they all fail at the similar points where the brass bars are connected to give it some rigidity.

Bob,
I doubt your mate is struggling for pictures but if he has to rely on me taking them then he is on a hiding since it is not an area I am that good at, certainly not for a reference book anyway.
Robin,
Nice stuff and a lot of it too.

Guys,
Got these handfull of papers not long ago and didn't think of them until I unfolded the newspaper and seen that it was like a mass memorial sheet posted by the local Gualeiter.
Looking at it the family that had kept these few bits of paper were hit quite badly with the loss of the grandmother and mother of the family and the father was seriously wounded.
They have marked another 10 names on the main sheet with 'x' so I would presume those were friends known to them on their street or local area?
Old Franz Geye I think would have been the opa and already passed away but he served in the 1st war as seen from his SB.
Horst Geye was I guess the 'father' that was badly wounded.
The sheet commemorates people killed on two seperate nights, the 23rd and the 28th Sep 1943.
Just a random fragment that someone preserved and quite sad really.
I am going to have a look and see if I can link up the sorties involved, well its on the things to do list anyway!

Bob,
They are a bit tall to try and photograph, hope this will do.
The top one has a shorter distance for the hangers, approx 35cm.

Hi Bob,
How far apart are the ties on the flag if you don't mind me asking?
Would it fit a fanfare trumpet?

Hucks,
What do you think of this one, I have searched you database but have not found a comparison.
What I have found online does not compare well?
Unit wise it all matches up.
Cheers
